This time, I’m going to combine two features, Materials and Mind

Unlike the other Features, there is no simple way to meet the Materials requirements. I won’t even try to get into the details.

As an overview, you need to:

  1. Restrict asbestos, mercury, or lead to the best of your ability
  2. Have a plan to deal with any asbestos, lead, PCBs, and chromate copper arsenate (CCA) that slips through

Now, onto the Mind Feature. There are four points for this Feature that you need to hit.

  1. A policy that defines healthy working hours (max number of hours in a 24 hour period, max number of hours in a 7 day period, etc)
  2. Some form of training or coursework on mental health and well-being, offered once a year. It should also address all mental health and well-being benefits, resources and programs available through the company.

Those two points cover the inside of skulls. The next two cover the outsides.

As part of the interior design of the place, you need:

  1. Plants ( like potted plants, plant walls) and Water (like a fountain)
  2. Things that focus on the culture of the workplace, and the place, like local architecture, materials, and artists.

And that covers two, count ’em TWO, WELL Features in one short article.

I’m either getting better or these requirements are getting easier to meet.

And I’m definitely not getting better.
